Over the past few years we here at LiquidPro Technologies have dedicated ourselves to making quality products that you could be proud to own. We've tried to support our products to the best of our ability, but over the past few months it has become clear to us that our ability to maintain our products has become increasingly difficult. We will not make excuses, it would be irresponsible to do so, but please know we had no intention of such a thing happening. After discussions among the staff, we have decided to officially close our doors effective immediately. I am sure you will have questions and we will welcome those questions if you still have them after reading this email. Below are a list of questions we anticipated:
Will we still be able to use the product we've purchased?
Yes, absolutely. We were very much dedicated to ensuring your products would still work once the site and license server went offline. We have
where you can download and install 2.1.9a which removes all license callbacks.
*Note: It is highly recommended that you install this version immediately. Your plugin will stop working if you do not.
Does this mean we can install the product as many times as we like?
Yes, there is no longer any active license check. The product now is essentially free for anyone to use on as many installations as you see fit.
If we have bugs and would like to have those fixed, is it possible?
We will not be supporting the product any longer so the likelihood of any outstanding bugs being fixed is nil at best. We were working on 2.1.10 before our decision to close up shop, but we were unable to get it into a releasable state. If someone would like to fork the GitHub report and make changes then you are welcome to.
I'm interested in taking on this addon project, could I distribute it myself?
You're welcome to fork the addon as mentioned above and distribute that, but you're not allowed per the GNU License to release the product as your own for a profit.
I have to ask, why did you guys decide to stop?
Unfortunately it became an issue of time for us. We no longer could guarantee the time needed to further develop our products. Between our actual careers, families and serious life events…it simply wasn't feasible. We feel you guys deserve better and it's unfortunate we weren't able to do that.
I recently purchased support and upgrade for my license, what now?
We went through and refunded anyone we could for those recent purchases. Unfortunately PayPal has a refund limit and will not let you refund people after a certain amount of time.
We appreciate your support over the years and thank you for making our run as long as it was. It is sad that we will no longer be able to provide you with excellent products, but we feel as though this is for the best. Thank you so much and we hope our product made life for you much easier!
