Matew, я использую дефолтный стиль и при создании модификации 
хотя тест проходит успешно
возможно нужно использовать тип регулярное выражение, но я в этом вообще не шарю и не понимаю
из-за этого у меня намокли глаза и прощу помощи
<a href="{{ link('login') }}" class="p-navgroup-link ...... r') }}</span></a></xf:if> с типом простая замена, получаю хотя тест проходит успешно

Зайдите в шаблон и скопируйте оттуда код, который затем надо вставить в "найти". Ско-пи-руй-те. Система найдет код, только если он будет один в один с тем, что у вас сейчас в шаблонах

Почему вы сравниваете с тем, что в описании? Вам нужно брать код из своего стиля. И не из "содержимого шаблона" со страницы создания модификации
